CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY LTD. Increase in Trading Volume on Singapore and Nasdaq Exchanges

SINGAPORE - October 18, 2001 - In accordance with the requirements of the Singapore Stock Exchange, Creative Technology Ltd. (Nasdaq: CREAF), today announced that the company and its directors are not aware of any material corporate or business event which would have contributed to the recent increase in the trading volume of the company's shares on the Singapore and Nasdaq exchanges.

The company plans to release results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2002 (ended 9/30/01) on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 (Singapore 24 October). The webcast of the analyst call will be available to the public at http://www.creative.com/investor/.
